Tamera Mowry

Tamera Darvette Mowry-Housley, born July 6, 1978, in Gelnhausen, West Germany, is an American actress, television personality, and entrepreneur best known for her role as Tamera Campbell on the ABC/WB sitcom Sister, Sister.

The identical twin sister of Tia Mowry, she was born to U.S. Army serviceman Timothy Mowry and security guard Darlene Mowry while the family lived abroad, later relocating to California where both sisters began performing in church talent shows and commercials during their youth. 

She and her sister rose to fame together on Sister, Sister from 1994 to 1999, portraying long-lost twins separated at birth who reunite as teenagers, earning them NAACP Image Award nominations and establishing them as teen idols with spin-off projects like the animated Detention and Seventeen Again.

Following the series' end, she appeared in films such as The Hot Chick (2002) alongside Rob Schneider, Twitches (2005) and its sequel Twitches Too (2007) as Camryn, and Seventeen Again (2000), while maintaining a television presence with guest roles on Strong Medicine, Girlfriends, and America's Next Top Model.

She co-hosted the daytime talk show The Real from 2013 to 2022 alongside Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, and Tamra Hairston, discussing lifestyle topics and earning Daytime Emmy nominations, and starred in reality series like Tia & Tamera (2011–2013) chronicling her family life.

She hosted her cooking show Tamera Mowry at Home from 2015 to 2017 and launched entrepreneurial ventures including a wine brand with her husband and the wellness line Forever Mowry.

Married to former Fox Sports reporter Adam Housley since 2011 after meeting on the set of a news report, she has two children, son Aden and daughter Ariah, and navigated personal challenges including her 2023 divorce announcement amid co-parenting discussions.
