Anne-Marie

Anne-Marie Rose Nicholson, known professionally as Anne-Marie, was born on April 7, 1991, in East Tilbury, Essex, England. Her mother is a local teacher, and her father is a builder and handyman from the East End of London.

Anne-Marie has an older sister named Samantha. From a young age, she showed a keen interest in performing arts. She attended stage school and appeared in two West End productions as a child, including "Les Misérables" and "Whistle Down the Wind."

She also attended St Clere's School at Stanford-le-Hope and later went to Palmer's College in Thurrock. In addition to her musical talents, she is a black belt in Shotokan karate and has won multiple championships.

Her career began with her involvement in the music industry as a backing singer for the band Rudimental. She gained recognition with her debut single "Do It Right" in 2015. Her breakthrough came with the release of the single "Rockabye" by Clean Bandit, featuring Anne-Marie and Sean Paul, which topped the UK Singles Chart for nine consecutive weeks.

Her debut studio album, "Speak Your Mind," was released in 2018 and included hit singles such as "Alarm," "Ciao Adios," "Friends," and "2002."

The album peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. In 2021, she released her second studio album, "Therapy," followed by her third studio album, "Unhealthy," in 2023. Both albums peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart. She has also collaborated with various artists, including Marshmello, David Guetta, and Little Mix.
