Auli'i Cravalho is an American actress and singer born on November 22, 2000, in Kohala, Hawaii. She is of Native Hawaiian, Portuguese, Chinese, Irish, and Puerto Rican descent. Raised by her mother, Puanani Cravalho, She grew up in Mililani, Hawaii. From a young age, she showed a keen interest in performing arts, participating in her school's glee club as a soprano and dancing hula.

Her big break came when she was cast as the voice of Moana in the 2016 Disney animated film "Moana." Initially hesitant to audition, she was discovered by a talent agent during a charity competition.
