B. J. Ward, born Betty Jean Ward on September 12, 1944, in Wilmington, Delaware, is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her work as a voice actress, having lent her voice to numerous animated series and theme park attractions.

B. J. Ward made her stage debut in 1960 in the original off-Broadway production of "The Fantasticks," where she served as an understudy. She later toured with the Groundlings before starting her voice-over career with Hanna-Barbera's "Jana of the Jungle" in 1978.

Her career spans several decades, and she is the creator and star of the acclaimed one-woman show "Stand-Up Opera," which has been a massive success with both critics and audiences. Throughout her singing career, she has released seven albums.

She has also appeared on television, with guest roles in series such as "Frasier," "ER," and "In-Laws." In 1985, she made a rare film appearance in the television film "Malice in Wonderland" alongside Elizabeth Taylor and Jane Alexander.

In addition to her work in television and film, she has been a prominent voice in video games and theme parks. She has provided voices for attractions at EPCOT and Disneyland Paris, including the safety narration for Spaceship Earth from 1994 to 2007.

B. J. Ward has also voiced characters in Disneyland's Splash Mountain and the current voice guide for "It's a Small World" at Magic Kingdom Park.

Her personal life includes two marriages. She was first married to Donald Trenner in 1966, and they divorced in 1978. She later married director Gordon Hunt in 1995, and they remained married until his death in 2016. Ward is also the stepmother of actress Helen Hunt.
