Betsy Russell, born Elizabeth Russell on September 6, 1963, in San Diego, California, is an American actress best known for her role as Jill Tuck in the "Saw" film series. She is the daughter of stock analyst Richard Lion Russell and Constance Russell, and her grandfather was the renowned journalist and educator Max Lerner.

Betsy She attended Mission Bay High School and later pursued a degree in Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica.

Russell began her career with a Pepsi commercial at the age of 16 and quickly transitioned to acting, making her screen debut in the 1982 film "Let's Do It!". Her breakout role came in the 1983 film "Private School," where she played Jordan Leigh-Jensen, a role that established her as a rising star in Hollywood.

She continued to work in both film and television, appearing in movies like "Tomboy" (1985), "Avenging Angel" (1985), and "Cheerleader Camp" (1988), as well as guest-starring on TV shows such as "The A-Team," "Murder, She Wrote," and "Superboy."

In 1989, she married actor Vincent Van Patten, and they had two sons before divorcing in 2001. After a hiatus from acting to focus on her family, she returned to the screen in 2006 with her role in "Saw III," reprising the character of Jill Tuck in subsequent sequels.
