Cassie Ventura

Casandra Elizabeth Ventura, known mononymously as Cassie, is an American singer, dancer, actress, and model born on August 26, 1986, in New London, Connecticut. Her mother is of African-American, Mexican, and West Indian descent, while her father is Filipino.

She began her career as a model at the age of 14, appearing in local department stores and fashion catalogs like Seventeen. She moved to New York City after high school to pursue her career more professionally, taking vocal lessons and modern ballet classes.

Her musical career took off after meeting producer Ryan Leslie in late 2004, who signed her to his record label, NextSelection Lifestyle Group. Her debut single, "Me & U," released in 2006, became a major hit, peaking at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and leading to the release of her self-titled debut album, which peaked at number four on the Billboard 200.

She was later signed by rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs to a joint venture with his label, Bad Boy Records.

Throughout her career, she has released several successful singles, including "Long Way 2 Go," "Official Girl" featuring Lil Wayne, and "Must Be Love" featuring Diddy. In 2013, she signed with Interscope Records and released her debut mixtape, "RockaByeBaby," which included singles like "Numb" featuring Rick Ross and "Paradise" featuring Wiz Khalifa. Her latest album, "Indigo," was released in 2019.

Cassie Ventura has also found success as a model, signing with agencies like Wilhelmina Models and One Management. She has modeled for brands such as Calvin Klein, Forever 21, and ASOS, and has appeared in magazines like GQ and Seventeen. She has also starred in films like "Step Up 2: The Streets" and "The Perfect Match".

Cassie Ventura is married to fitness coach and bull rider Alex Fine, and they have two daughters together.
