Celia Weston is an American character actress born on December 14, 1951, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She initially pursued art and psychology at Salem College but later decided to study acting, earning an Artist Diploma in Drama from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
She began her career on stage, making her Broadway debut in 1979. Weston is best known for her role as Jolene Hunnicutt on the CBS sitcom "Alice" from 1981 to 1985. Although she initially rejected the role, the financial offer was too good to pass up.
Her film career took off in the mid-1990s with her critically acclaimed performance in "Dead Man Walking" (1995), for which she received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Female.
