Cheryl Hines, born Cheryl Ruth Hines on September 21, 1965, in Miami Beach, Florida, is an American actress best known for her role as Cheryl on HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," for which she received two Emmy Award nominations.

She grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, where she was a member of the Young Actors Theatre throughout high school. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1990 with a degree in radio and television production.

She began her acting career by performing improvisational comedy at The Groundlings Theater, where her fellow students included Lisa Kudrow.

Her career took off with guest appearances on television shows such as "Swamp Thing" and "Unsolved Mysteries." She also appeared on an episode of "The Dating Game" in 1996.

In the Motherhood," which was a loose adaptation of the web series and was dropped due to low ratings after five of its planned seven episodes were aired.

Cheryl Hines is married to environmental attorney and anti-vaccination activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom she wed on August 2, 2014, at the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.

The couple met through Cheryl's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" co-star Larry David. She was previously married to television and film producer Paul Young, with whom she has a daughter, Catherine Rose Young, born on March 8, 2004. Cheryl Hines and Paul divorced in 2010.

Cheryl Hines has been nominated for 10 awards and won 3, including a Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
