Chloë Sevigny, born Chloe Stevens Sevigny on November 18, 1974, in Springfield, Massachusetts, is an American actress, model, and fashion designer. She grew up in a strict Catholic household in affluent Darien, Connecticut, with her older brother Paul, who is a member of the band A.R.E. Weapons.

Chloë Sevigny attended the Professional Children's School in New York City and began her career as a model before transitioning to acting.

She gained recognition in the mid-1990s for her work in independent films, often appearing in controversial or experimental features. She made her film debut in Larry Clark's "Kids" (1995), where she played a 14-year-old girl who discovers she is HIV positive.

Her performance in the film earned her critical acclaim and established her as a prominent figure in the independent film scene.
