Crystal Reed, born on February 6, 1985, in Detroit, Michigan, is an American actress of half-Native American and half-Polish descent. She grew up in a conservative Catholic family and attended Roseville High School, where she was active in community theater, starring in musicals like "Annie," "Fiddler on the Roof," and "Grease."

She pursued dance from a young age and was a dance captain in high school. She later attended Wayne State University but left the Bachelor of Fine Arts program to explore acting further.

Crystal Reed moved to Chicago and appeared in local productions before relocating to Hollywood in December 2008 to pursue a screen career. She gained prominence for her role as Allison Argent in the MTV series "Teen Wolf" (2011-2014).

She left the show after the third season but made a guest appearance in the fifth season as Allison's ancestor, Marie-Jeanne Valet. She reprised her role as Allison Argent in the reunion film "Teen Wolf: The Movie" (2023).

In addition to "Teen Wolf," she played Sofia Falcone in the fourth season of "Gotham" (2017-2018) and the lead role of Abby Arcane in the series "Swamp Thing" (2019). She has also appeared in films such as "Skyline" (2010), "Crush" (2013), "Too Late" (2015), and "Ghostland" (2018).
