Dana Hill, born Dana Lynne Goetz on May 6, 1964, in Los Angeles, California, was an American actress known for her roles in both film and television. She was the daughter of Theodore Arthur "Ted" Goetz, a director of commercials, and Sandy Hill.

Her early life was marked by her diagnosis with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 10, which affected her physical growth and led to lifelong health complications. Despite this, she pursued a career in acting, using her mother's maiden name to avoid nepotism.

Her career began with commercials, and she quickly moved on to guest roles on television shows such as "Family" and "The Two of Us." Her breakthrough came with the 1981 television film "Fallen Angel," where she played a 12-year-old molestation victim, earning her a Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Television Special.

She continued to work in both film and television, appearing in movies like "Shoot the Moon" and "Cross Creek," and TV shows like "The Fall Guy" and "Magnum, P.I."

Dana Hill was also a talented voice actress. She is best known for voicing Max Goof in the animated series "Goof Troop" and Tommy Pickles in "Rugrats."

Her diabetes, which had stunted her growth, allowed her to convincingly play younger characters even into her twenties. However, as her health declined in the mid-1980s, she increasingly focused on voice work.

Her personal life was marked by her struggle with diabetes. Despite her father's discouragement, she pursued her passion for acting and became an inspiration to many, especially those with similar health challenges.

She adopted a sugar-free diet and took medication to manage her condition, but her health continued to deteriorate. In May 1996, she slipped into a diabetic coma and suffered a paralytic stroke, leading to her death on July 15, 1996, at the age of 32.

Dana Hill received several awards, including the 1986 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Featured Actress for her performance in "Picnic."
