She began piano lessons at the age of four and grew up in both Australia and England as her father worked for the BBC Play School in both countries.
During her teens, she started acting and composing her own music. Danielle Spencer made her acting debut in the musical "Rasputin" in 1987, playing one of the Tsar's daughters. She continued to work primarily in Australian television from 1989 to 2000, appearing in various TV series. In 2001, she released her debut musical album, "White Monkey," and followed it up with "Calling All Magicians" in 2010.
