Deborah Van Valkenburgh, born on August 29, 1952, in Schenectady, New York, is an American actress best known for her screen debut as Mercy in the 1979 cult film "The Warriors" and her role as Jackie Rush on the television sitcom "Too Close for Comfort" from 1980 to 1985.

She graduated from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, with a BFA in painting and drawing. Deborah started her acting career on Broadway, performing in the revival of the musical "Hair." She has also appeared in numerous Off-Broadway plays, including "Honeybee," "The Tempest," "Six Characters in Search of an Author," and "Hay Fever."

Deborah Van Valkenburgh has had a prolific career in film and television. Some of her notable film roles include "Streets of Fire" (1984), "Rampage" (1987), "The Devil's Rejects" (2005), and "Road to Hell" (2008), for which she won the Best Supporting Actress in a Fantasy Film award at the PollyGrind Underground Film Festival in 2012.
