Diana Muldaur began her acting career in the 1960s, appearing in various television shows and films. She gained recognition for her roles in the original "Star Trek" series, where she played Dr. Miranda Jones and Dr. Ann Mulhall in two separate episodes. 

Later, she returned to the "Star Trek" universe as Dr. Katherine Pulaski in the second season of "Star Trek: The Next Generation." She also became well-known for her role as Rosalind Shays in the legal drama "L.A. Law," which earned her two Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Her other notable television appearances include "McCloud," "The Secret Storm," and "Murder, She Wrote."
