Eva Longoria was born on March 15, 1975, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and is known for her roles in television and film as well as her work as a producer and businesswoman. She grew up in a close-knit family with her three sisters, one of whom has special needs, and was raised Roman Catholic.

Eva Longoria worked at Wendy's during high school to help pay for her quinceañera, which instilled in her a strong work ethic. She attended Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, and later obtained a Master's degree in Chicano Studies from California State University, Northridge.

Her career began with guest roles on television shows, but she gained widespread recognition for her role as Isabella Braña on the CBS daytime soap opera "The Young and the Restless" from 2001 to 2003.

Her breakthrough came with the role of Gabrielle Solis on the ABC television series "Desperate Housewives," which aired from 2004 to 2012. For her performance, she received two Screen Actors Guild Awards and a Golden Globe nomination.

She has also appeared in films such as "The Sentinel" (2006), "Over Her Dead Body" (2008), "For Greater Glory" (2012), "Frontera" (2014), "Lowriders" (2016), and "Overboard" (2018), winning an Imagen Award for the latter.

In 2005, she founded UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, a film and television production company, which was later acquired by Hyphenate Media Group in 2023. She has executive produced several projects, including the Lifetime television series "Devious Maids" (2013-2016), the short-lived NBC sitcom "Telenovela" (2015-2016), and the Oscar-nominated film "Flamin' Hot" (2023).

Eva Longoria has also ventured into directing, with her work on the television series "Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love" (2020) earning her a Daytime Creative Arts Emmy nomination.
