Genevieve Padalecki, born Genevieve Nicole Cortese on January 8, 1981, in San Francisco, California, is an American actress known for her roles in television series and films. She grew up with two brothers, Johnny and Ben, and a sister, Sarah. At the age of 13, she moved to Montana and later to Sun Valley, Idaho. She holds a BA in English and a BFA degree in drama from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

Her acting career began with regional theater productions of "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "Crimes of the Heart," and "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". 

She made her television debut as Kris Furillo in the series "Wildfire" from 2005 to 2008. In 2008, she was cast as the demon Ruby in the popular series "Supernatural," where she met her future husband, Jared Padalecki. She continued to make guest appearances in various television shows, including "FlashForward" and "Walker," where she played Emily Walker.

Her personal life has been marked by her marriage to Jared Padalecki. The couple met on the set of "Supernatural" and got engaged in October 2009. They married on February 27, 2010, in Sun Valley, Idaho. 

They have three children together: Thomas Colton Padalecki, born on March 19, 2012; Austin Shepherd Padalecki, born on December 22, 2013; and Odette Elliott Padalecki, born on March 17, 2017. The family resides in Austin, Texas.

In addition to her acting career, she is passionate about sustainability and environmental consciousness. She launched the company TOWWN (Take Only What We Need) to promote eco-friendly living and encourage people to make empowered purchases with eco-consciousness in mind. 

Her lifestyle reflects her dedication to the environment, and she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, skiing, and camping.

Throughout her career, she has received several awards and nominations. She won the Festival Award for Best Actress at the Williamsburg International Film Festival in 2011 for her role in "Hated". 

She also received the Best Actress award at the FirstGlance Film Fest Hollywood in 2013 and the Audience Award at the Newport International Film Festival in Wales in 2013. Her performances have earned her critical acclaim and a loyal fan base.
