George Timothy Clooney was born on May 6, 1961, in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. He is an American actor and filmmaker known for his work in both blockbuster and independent films. His films have grossed over $2.6 billion in the U.S. box office.

George Clooney established himself as a leading man in Hollywood, known for his good looks and versatility. In 2013, he was named one of the most influential people in the world.

He started acting in television in the late 1970s, and later gained wide recognition in his role as Dr. Doug Ross on the NBC medical drama ER (1994–1999).
