Holly Woodlawn, born Haroldo Santiago Franceschi Rodriguez Danhakl on October 26, 1946, in Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico, was an iconic American actress and Warhol superstar. She grew up in Miami Beach, where she came out at a young age and later adopted the name Holly from the heroine of "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

In 1969, she added the surname Woodlawn from a sign she saw on an episode of "I Love Lucy." She often told people she was the heiress to Woodlawn Cemetery, adding to her mystique.

Holly Woodlawn became famous for her roles in Andy Warhol's films "Trash" (1970) and "Women in Revolt" (1971). Her life and story were immortalized in Lou Reed's hit glam rock song "Walk on the Wild Side."
