Jaclyn Smith, born Jacquelyn Ellen Smith on October 26, 1945, in Houston, Texas, is an American actress best known for her role as Kelly Garrett in the television series "Charlie's Angels." She began her career in 1968 with minor roles and commercials, but it was her casting in "Charlie's Angels" in 1976 that propelled her to stardom.

She was the only original female lead to remain with the show for its entire five-season run. Her career continued to flourish with numerous TV films and miniseries, including "Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy" for which she received a Golden Globe nomination, and "The Bourne Identity."

In addition to her acting career, Jaclyn Smith has been successful in the business world, developing and marketing her own brands of clothing and perfume. She launched her clothing line at Kmart in 1985, which became extremely popular. She is also known for her signature scent, "Jaclyn Smith's California," which won best mass-produced fragrance the year it was launched.
