Jane Randolph, born Jane Roemer on October 30, 1914, in Youngstown, Ohio, was an American film actress best known for her roles in film noir and atmospheric horror films.

She grew up in Kokomo, Indiana, where she developed hobbies like playing golf and flying airplanes. Jane attended DePauw University and studied at Max Reinhardt's acting school, which set the stage for her future career in Hollywood.

In 1939, she moved to Hollywood to pursue her dream of becoming a film star. Initially, she appeared in small, uncredited roles, but her talent caught the eye of RKO Studios, which signed her in 1942.

Her breakthrough came with her role as Alice Moore in the 1942 horror film "Cat People," a role she reprised in the sequel "The Curse of the Cat People" in 1944. These films established her as a leading lady in the horror genre.

Jane Randolph appeared in several notable films, including "Jealousy" (1945), "Railroaded!" (1947), and "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" (1948), which was her final credited film role. Her elegant and versatile performances earned her a lasting legacy in the world of cinema.

Jane Randolph was married twice. Her first marriage was to Hollywood agent Bert D'Armand, which ended in divorce in 1949. Later that year, she married Jaime del Amo, a producer and businessman, and they moved to Spain, where Jaime became the governor of Madrid.

Jane balanced her time between Los Angeles, California, and Gstaad, Switzerland, where she owned a home. She and Jaime had a daughter named Cristina, but they divorced in 1966.

Jane Randolph passed away on May 4, 2009, in Gstaad from complications of a broken hip at the age of 94.
