Jennifer Rubin

Jennifer Rubin, born on June 11, 1962, is an American political commentator known for her opinion columns at The Washington Post. She spent her early years in the New Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia before moving to California with her family in 1968.

Jennifer Rubin is Jewish and earned her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, where she finished first in her class. Before her career in journalism, she worked as a labor and employment lawyer in Los Angeles for 20 years.

She began her career in opinion writing in 2005, moving to Northern Virginia with her husband and two children. She initially wrote a column for The Weekly Standard about Mitt Romney and continued freelance work before joining Commentary.
