Jeri Ryan, born Jeri Lynn Zimmermann on February 22, 1968, in Munich, West Germany, is an American actress best known for her role as Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager. She grew up on various military bases due to her father's career in the U.S. Army, and later settled in Paducah, Kentucky.

She graduated as a National Merit Scholar from Lone Oak High School and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in theatre from Northwestern University. In 1989, she was crowned Miss Illinois and finished as third runner-up in the Miss America 1990 pageant.

Jeri Ryan began her acting career with guest roles in television series such as Who's the Boss?, Melrose Place, and Matlock. Her breakthrough came in 1997 when she joined the cast of Star Trek: Voyager as Seven of Nine, a role that significantly boosted the show's ratings and earned her multiple Saturn Award nominations, winning one in 2001.

After Voyager, she starred in Boston Public as Veronica "Ronnie" Cooke and appeared in films like Dracula 2000 and Down with Love.

Jeri Ryan has been married twice, first to politician Jack Ryan, with whom she has a son, Alex. They divorced in 1999, and she later married French chef Christophe Émé in 2007, with whom she has a daughter, Gisele.
