Jeri Ryan, born Jeri Lynn Zimmermann on February 22, 1968, in Munich, West Germany, is an American actress best known for her role as Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager. She grew up on various military bases due to her father's career in the U.S. Army, and later settled in Paducah, Kentucky.
She graduated as a National Merit Scholar from Lone Oak High School and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in theatre from Northwestern University. In 1989, she was crowned Miss Illinois and finished as third runner-up in the Miss America 1990 pageant.
