Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba, born Jessica Marie Alba on April 28, 1981, in Pomona, California, is an American actress and businesswoman. She began her acting career at the age of 13 in the film Camp Nowhere and the television series The Secret World of Alex Mack. Alba rose to prominence at the age of 19 as the lead actress in the television series Dark Angel, for which she received a Golden Globe nomination.

Her big screen breakthrough came in the film Honey in 2003. She has since starred in numerous box office hits, including Fantastic Four, Sin City, and Good Luck Chuck.

Her early life was marked by a multitude of physical maladies. During childhood, she suffered from pneumonia four to five times a year and had partially collapsed lungs twice, as well as a ruptured appendix and tonsillar cyst.
