Johnny Wactor, born John William Wactor III on August 31, 1986, in Charleston, South Carolina, was an American actor known for his roles in television and film. He grew up in Summerville, South Carolina, and graduated from Summerville High School in 2004.

He later attended the College of Charleston, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish in 2009. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, making his television debut in the series Army Wives in 2007.

He gained significant recognition for his role as Brando Corbin on the long-running soap opera General Hospital, a role he played from 2020 to 2022. He also starred as Johnny on the NBC series Siberia and appeared in films such as USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage and Supercell.

In an act of bravery, he shielded his co-worker with his body and was fatally shot by one of the men. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. His funeral was held at the Summerville Baptist Church in Summerville, South Carolina, on June 16, 2024. Four men were later arrested in connection with his death, with two charged with murder.

Throughout his career, Johnny Wactor left a lasting impact on his fans and colleagues. His performances in General Hospital and other projects earned him a dedicated following and respect within the industry.
