June Allyson, born Eleanor Geisman on October 7, 1917, in The Bronx, New York, was an American actress, singer, and dancer whose career spanned over six decades.

She was renowned for her "girl next door" image and became a beloved figure in American cinema during the 1940s and 1950s.

June Allyson began her career as a dancer in short subject films and on Broadway in 1938. She signed with MGM in 1943 and rose to fame the following year in "Two Girls and a Sailor". She won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her performance in "Too Young to Kiss" (1951).
