Kaitlin Hopkins, born Kaitlin Persson on February 1, 1964, in New York City, is an accomplished American actress and singer. She is the daughter of actress Shirley Knight and stage producer/director Gene Persson.

She graduated from the Williston Northampton School in 1982 and went on to study at Carnegie Mellon University's musical theater program and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.

Her television career began with an appearance on the soap opera "One Life to Live," followed by a regular role on "Another World." She later moved to Los Angeles in 1993, where she joined The Matrix Theatre Company and performed at various venues like The Pink in Santa Monica.
