Katee Sackhoff initially pursued a career in swimming but switched to acting after a knee injury led her to practice yoga and discover her passion for the performing arts.
Her acting career began with a role in the Lifetime movie "Fifteen and Pregnant" in 1998, which motivated her to move to Hollywood after graduating from Sunset High School in Beaverton.
