Kathryn Newton is an American actress who has gained recognition for her talent and versatility in both film and television. She was born on February 8, 1997, in Orlando, Florida, and is the only child of Robin and David Newton. From a young age, she  showed a passion for acting and began her career at just four years old, appearing in the soap opera "All My Children." She later moved to Los Angeles with her family to pursue her acting career more seriously.

Her breakthrough came with her role as Louise Brooks in the CBS comedy series "Gary Unmarried," which earned her two Young Artist Awards. She continued to build her career with roles in popular television series such as "Big Little Lies," where she played Abigail Carlson, and "The Society," where she portrayed Allie Pressman.

She also appeared in "Supernatural" as Claire Novak and in "Halt and Catch Fire" as Joanie Clark. Her performances in these shows showcased her ability to take on diverse and challenging roles.
