Kelly Overton, born on August 28, 1978, in Wilbraham, Massachusetts, is an American actress known for her dynamic roles in television and film. She grew up in a supportive family that encouraged her passion for the performing arts. 

She was a star athlete in high school, excelling in soccer, basketball, and track, where she remained undefeated in the high hurdles in Western Massachusetts. After graduating from Minnechaug Regional High School in 1997, she moved to New York City to pursue her acting aspirations. 

She enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she graduated with the highest honor, The Charles Jehlinger Award.

Her acting career began in the early 2000s with her role as Rainn Wilkins on the soap opera "All My Children." She made her Broadway debut in 2002 in "The Graduate," initially as an understudy before taking over the role of Elaine Robinson, performing alongside Kathleen Turner and Jason Biggs. 

She transitioned to Los Angeles to expand her career in film and television. She appeared in films such as "It Runs in the Family," "Breaking Dawn," and "The Ring Two." Her versatility was further demonstrated in 2008 when she co-wrote, co-directed, produced, and starred in the film "The Collective" with her husband, Judson Pearce Morgan.

Kelly Overton gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Vanessa Van Helsing in the Syfy series "Van Helsing," which premiered in 2016. Her performance in the series earned her critical acclaim and a loyal fan base. 

She also appeared in the HBO series "True Blood" as werewolf Rikki Naylor and played Christie Monteiro in the film adaptation of the fighting game series "Tekken." 

In her personal life, Kelly Overton married fellow actor Judson Pearce Morgan in March 2004. The couple has three children together. She gave birth to their first daughter in 2011, their second daughter in July 2017, and their son in August 2019.

Throughout her career, she has received several awards and nominations. She won the Audience Award at the Brooklyn International Film Festival for "The Collective" and received the Silver Palm Award at the Mexico International Film Festival.
