Lauren Nicole London was born on December 5, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, to an African-American mother and an Ashkenazi Jewish father.

She began her career as a model at the age of 17 and soon transitioned into acting, making her television debut in 2006 with the sitcom "Everybody Hates Chris." Her breakthrough came with the film "ATL," where she played the romantic lead opposite hip-hop artist T.I. This role earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Black Movie Awards.

Lauren London continued to build her career with roles in films such as "This Christmas" (2007), "Madea's Big Happy Family" (2011), and "Baggage Claim" (2013).
