Despite her initial aspiration to become an opera singer, she shifted her focus to acting due to her shy nature and social anxiety. She studied acting at Les Enfants Terribles, a French drama school, and the Actors Studio in New York.

Léa Seydoux began her acting career in French cinema, making her debut in the 2006 film "Girlfriends." She gained early recognition with roles in "The Last Mistress" (2007) and "On War" (2008).
