Margaret LeAnn Rimes Cibrian, known simply as LeAnn Rimes, was born on August 28, 1982, in Jackson, Mississippi, and raised in Texas. She demonstrated a unique singing ability from a young age, performing in local musical theater and contests.

At the age of 13, she signed a contract with Nashville label Curb Records and released her debut single "Blue," which became a top-10 hit on the Billboard country songs chart. Her debut album, also titled "Blue," was certified six times Platinum and established her as a major country artist.

LeAnn Rimes crossed over into pop music in 1997 with the release of "How Do I Live," which became one of the best-selling singles of the 1990s. She continued to release successful albums, including "You Light Up My Life: Inspirational Songs" (1997), "Sittin' on Top of the World" (1998), and "LeAnn Rimes" (1999). Her pop singles for soundtrack albums, such as "I Need You" and "Can't Fight the Moonlight," further solidified her international fame.

LeAnn Rimes has also ventured into acting, making her big-screen debut with the film "Holiday in Your Heart" (1997) and starring in the movie "Coyote Ugly" (2000), for which she sang the hit theme song "Can't Fight the Moonlight".

She has released several albums over the years, including "Twisted Angel" (2002), "This Woman" (2005), "Lady & Gentlemen" (2011), and "Spitfire" (2013). Her more recent works include "Remnants" (2016) and "God's Work" (2022).

LeAnn Rimes has received numerous awards throughout her career, including two Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance in 1996. She has sold over 48 million records worldwide and has placed more than 40 singles on international charts.

Her personal life has seen its share of ups and downs, including two marriages. She was married to Dean Sheremet from 2002 to 2010 and later married Eddie Cibrian in 2011.
