Lilyan Tashman was an American stage, silent film, and sound film actress born on October 23, 1896, in Brooklyn, New York. She was the youngest of eight children in a Jewish family, and her parents were Morris Tashman, a manufacturer of children's clothes, and Rose Cook Tashman.
Lilyan Tashman began her career as a model and later transitioned to vaudeville, where she met and married actor Al Lee in 1914. They divorced in 1921, and she later married actor Edmund Lowe in 1925.
Lilyan Tashman made her film debut in "Experience" (1921) and quickly became a prominent figure in Hollywood. She was known for her beauty and style, earning the nickname "The Best Dressed Woman On The Screen".
