Lindsay Wagner, born on June 22, 1949, in Los Angeles, California, is an American actress best known for her role as Jaime Sommers in the television series "The Bionic Woman."

She began her acting career in 1971 and has since appeared in numerous films and television productions. Her early life was marked by her parents' divorce, after which her mother remarried, and the family moved to Portland, Oregon. She was diagnosed with dyslexia and later moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.

Her career took off when she signed a contract with Universal Studios in 1971. She made her primetime network television debut in the series "Adam-12" and went on to appear in several other Universal shows, including "Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law" and "The F.B.I."
