Lisa Vidal

Lisa Vidal, born on June 13, 1965, in Manhattan, New York, is an American actress of Puerto Rican heritage. She grew up in New York City with her two sisters, Christina and Tanya, and a brother named Christian.

After finishing elementary school, Lisa attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, where she honed her acting skills. She began her career at a young age, appearing in the theater series "Oye Willie" at 14 and making her feature debut in "Delivery Boys."

Her career took off in the early 1990s when she appeared in the crime drama film "Night and the City" alongside Robert De Niro and Jessica Lange. She also starred in the comedy-drama film "I Like It Like That" with Lauren Vélez and Rita Moreno. Her television career includes roles in "New York Undercover," "High Incident," "Third Watch," and "ER."

She gained widespread recognition for her role as Dr. Sarah Morales in "Third Watch" and as firefighter Sandy Lopez in "ER."

She also had a significant role in the NBC drama series "The Event" and starred opposite Gabrielle Union in the BET drama series "Being Mary Jane" from 2013 to 2019.

Lisa Vidal has been married to Jay Cohen since January 6, 1990, and they have three children: Scott Jarred Cohen, Olivia Taylor Cohen, and Christian Cohen.

She is also the older sister of actresses Christina Vidal and Tanya Vidal. She has received several awards and nominations throughout her career, including the ALMA Award nomination and various other accolades for her performances in television and film.
