Lisa Zane, born on April 5, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. She is the older sister of actor Billy Zane and the daughter of William George Zane Sr. and Thalia Zane, both of Greek descent. Her family originally had the surname "Zanetakos," which was later anglicized to "Zane" by her father. She attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, where she studied drama.
Lisa Zane began her acting career with a role in the 1989 film "Heart of Dixie" and quickly gained recognition for her performance in "Gross Anatomy" the same year. She went on to star in "Bad Influence" (1990), "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" (1991), and "The Nurse" (1997).
