Liza Weil, born on June 5, 1977, in Passaic, New Jersey, is an American actress best known for her role as Paris Geller in the WB/CW comedy-drama series "Gilmore Girls" (2000-2007) and its Netflix revival "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" (2016).

She grew up in a family of actors, with her parents Lisa and Marc Weil being members of the comedy troupe The Mad House of London, which toured Europe. Her early years were spent traveling with her family, and she began performing in local theater at the age of seven after settling in Pennsylvania.

Her television career began with a role in the CBS soap opera "As the World Turns" in 1995, and she later appeared in "The Adventures of Pete & Pete" and "The West Wing."

Her breakout role came with "Gilmore Girls," where she portrayed the ambitious and driven Paris Geller. She also appeared in the ABC political drama series "Scandal" as White House aide Amanda Tanner and in the legal drama "How to Get Away with Murder" as attorney Bonnie Winterbottom.

Liza Weil has also appeared in several films, including "Whatever" (1998), "Dragonfly" (2002), and "Stir of Echoes" (1999). She has also been active in the Los Angeles theatrical community, performing in productions at the Ojai Playwrights Conference and with L.A. Theatre Works.

Liza Weil was married to actor Paul Adelstein from 2006 until their divorce in 2017, and they have one daughter together.
