Lola Albright - Wikibash

Lola Albright, born on July 20, 1924, in Akron, Ohio, was an American singer and actress best known for her role as Edie Hart, the sultry singer and girlfriend of private eye Peter Gunn, on the TV series "Peter Gunn." 

She began her career as a model and worked as a receptionist at a radio station before moving to Hollywood in the mid-1940s. She made her film debut in the 1947 musical comedy "The Unfinished Dance" and gained recognition for her role in the 1949 film noir "Champion," where she played the wife of a manipulative boxing manager.

Throughout her career, she appeared in numerous films and television shows, including "The Pirate," "Easter Parade," "Tulsa," "The Silver Whip," "The Tender Trap," and "A Cold Wind in August." She received critical acclaim for her performance in "A Cold Wind in August," where she played a divorced burlesque show stripper involved in a romance with a 17-year-old boy.

Lola Albright passed away on March 23, 2017, at the age of 92 in Toluca Lake, California.
