Louise Latham, born Johnie Louise Latham on September 23, 1922, in Hamilton, Texas, was an American actress known for her versatile roles in film, television, and theater.

She came from a family of ranchers in the Texas counties of San Saba and Mason. Latham attended the Hockaday School in Dallas and began her acting career on stage in Texas, working under the direction of the notable Margo Jones. She made her Broadway debut in the 1956 revival of Major Barbara and went on to perform in other plays such as Invitation to a March and Isle of Children.

Louise Latham made her film debut with a key supporting role in Alfred Hitchcock's 1964 film Marnie, where she portrayed Bernice Edgar, the troubled mother of the film’s protagonist. This role was critically significant, changing the trajectory of her career and marking her entry into film.

She subsequently appeared in films such as Firecreek, Adam at 6 A.M., White Lightning, The Sugarland Express, Mass Appeal, The Philadelphia Experiment, Paradise, and Love Field.

She notably played Aunt Fran in Family Affair and appeared in the final, highly rated episode of The Fugitive.

Louise Latham remained active in television and film through the 1990s, with her last known screen appearance being in a 2000 episode of The X-Files. She was known for her ability to portray a wide range of characters, from nurturing figures to complex, often troubled women.

Louise Latham was married three times and spent her later years in Montecito, California. She passed away on February 12, 2018, at the age of 95.
