Louise Robey

Canadian Actress and Songwriter

Louise Robey, born Louise Anne Beris Fiona Robey on March 14, 1960, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a versatile talent known for her work as an actress, songwriter, singer, model, and children's book writer.

Raised by her father, Colonel Malcolm Vernon Robey, a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force, and her mother, a former London stage actress, she spent her early years traveling across Europe, learning multiple languages.

She attended St Leonards School in St Andrews, Scotland, and later graduated from Elmwood School in Ottawa.

Her career began in the fashion industry when she was discovered by French photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue while sunbathing on the French Riviera. This chance encounter led to her becoming a successful fashion model, appearing in magazines like Vogue Paris and Paris Match.

She also ventured into music, forming the ska-punk band Louise and the Creeps, which was signed to CBS France and UK. Although the band broke up before recording an album, she  continued her solo music career, releasing a self-titled album in 1984 that included the hit single "One Night in Bangkok," which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart.
