Maiara Walsh, born on February 18, 1988, in Seattle, Washington, is an American actress known for her roles in television and film. Her mother is Brazilian, and her father is American, which gave her a multicultural upbringing. She moved to São Paulo, Brazil, when she was just one year old, and Portuguese became her first language.

After a few years, her family moved back to Seattle, where she developed an interest in music and the arts, participating in school plays and musicals. At the age of 11, she moved to Simi Valley, California, to pursue her acting career and graduated from Royal High School.

Her career began in 2006 with a role on Disney Channel's "Cory in the House," where she played Meena Paroom, the daughter of the Bahavian ambassador. She gained further recognition for her role as Ana Solis on the ABC show "Desperate Housewives" and Simone Sinclair on the Freeform series "Switched at Birth."
