Malin Åkerman, born on May 12, 1978, in Stockholm, Sweden, is a Swedish-American actress, model, and singer. She moved to Canada with her family at the age of two and began her career as a model before transitioning to acting. 

Her early roles included appearances in Canadian and American productions such as "The Utopian Society" (2003) and "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" (2004). She gained wider recognition for her role as Silk Spectre II in the 2009 superhero film "Watchmen," which earned her a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

In her personal life, Malin Åkerman has been married twice. She was first married to Roberto Zincone, the drummer for the band The Petalstones, from 2007 to 2014. The couple has a son named Sebastian, born in 2013. In 2018, she married English actor Jack Donnelly. She holds dual citizenship in Sweden and the United States, having become a U.S. citizen in 2018.

Her career has been marked by a diverse range of roles in both film and television. She has appeared in romantic comedies such as "The Heartbreak Kid" (2007) and "27 Dresses" (2008), as well as box office hits like "The Proposal" (2009) and "Couples Retreat" (2009).
