Margot Rose is an American television and film actress, composer, and lyricist. Born on July 17, 1956, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was raised in Delaware and Northern Indiana. She attended Interlochen Arts Academy, Yale School of Drama, and the North Carolina School of the Arts, where she received her BFA.

Margot Rose began her career in theater, working in productions like "Godspell" and "I'm Getting My Act Together & Taking It on the Road" at the New York Shakespeare Festival.

Her television career includes guest appearances on over sixty series such as "Hill Street Blues," "Star Trek: The Next Generation," "The West Wing," "Judging Amy," "Desperate Housewives," and "The Mentalist."

She had a leading role in the widely acclaimed "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode "The Inner Light." In films, she has appeared in movies like "48 Hrs.," "A Civil Action," "True Believer," and "Hollow Man."

As a composer, she composed the music for the 2000 film "Sordid Lives" and the 2008 television series "Sordid Lives: The Series." She also performed in the original stage production of "Sordid Lives" in 1996.
