Matt Battaglia, born Matteo Martin Battaglia on September 25, 1965, in Tallahassee, Florida, is an American film producer, actor, and former professional football player. He grew up primarily in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, and attended the University of Louisville where he was a standout All-American linebacker, leading the nation in tackles during his junior and senior years.

He briefly played in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles before transitioning into a career in the entertainment industry. As an actor, he has appeared in over 100 films, network pilots, and television shows, with notable guest roles in series such as "Friends," where he played Vince the fireman, as well as recurring roles on shows like "The Resident."

Matt Battaglia is also an accomplished producer, having won two Emmy Awards; one as Executive Producer for the syndicated legal drama "Last Shot with Judge Gunn" and another as co-producer of the two-time Golden Globe-nominated film "Brothers," starring Tobey Maguire, Natalie Portman, and Jake Gyllenhaal.

He has been involved in pitching and producing television projects, including collaborations with notable industry figures such as Ridley Scott and Tony To.

Moreover, he is a successful real estate developer and investor. Outside of his professional pursuits, he founded The Mint Jubilee, a charity event held at the Kentucky Derby to raise funds for cancer patients, in memory of his mother who died of cancer.
