Matthew Paige Damon, known as Matt Damon, was born on October 8, 1970, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. He is an American actor, film producer, and screenwriter. He was ranked among Forbes' most bankable stars in 2007, and in 2010 was one of the highest-grossing actors of all time.

He began his acting career in the film Mystic Pizza (1988). He gained prominence in 1997 when he and Ben Affleck wrote and starred in Good Will Hunting, which won them the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Screenplay.

He established himself as a leading man by starring in various roles, including Tom Ripley in The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), Jason Bourne in the Bourne franchise (2002–2007; 2016), and Linus Caldwell in the Ocean's trilogy (2001–2007).

Matt Damon is a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and tries to attend their games whenever possible. He has also formed great friendships with his Ocean's co-stars, George Clooney and Brad Pitt, with whom he works on charity projects.

Matt Damon has been married to Luciana Bozán Barroso since 2005. They have three daughters together: Isabella, Gia, and Stella. Damon also became a stepdad to Barroso's daughter Alexia.
