Melanie Lynskey

Melanie Lynskey, born Melanie Jayne Lynskey on May 16, 1977, in New Plymouth, New Zealand, is a talented actress known for her portrayals of complex women and her command of American accents.

She began her acting career at the age of 17 with her role as Pauline Parker in Peter Jackson's critically acclaimed film "Heavenly Creatures" (1994), which earned her widespread praise and a Best Actress award in New Zealand. Her early success paved the way for a diverse career in both film and television.

After moving to the United States, she became known as a character actress through parts in films like "Sweet Home Alabama" (2002), "Shattered Glass" (2003), and "Flags of Our Fathers" (2006).
