Millie Perkins, born Mildred Frances Perkins on May 12, 1936, in Newark, New Jersey, is an American retired film, television actress, and model. She grew up in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, and attended Fair Lawn High School.

Her father was a merchant marine captain of Hungarian and Mongolian descent, and her mother was of Irish and French-Canadian extraction. She began her career as a receptionist at a New York City advertising agency before catching the eye of a visiting photographer, which led to a successful modeling career.

Her breakthrough came when she was cast as Anne Frank in the 1959 film adaptation of "The Diary of Anne Frank," a role that earned her excellent reviews despite the film's less-than-expected box office success.

She continued to work in films such as "Wild in the Country" (1961) and "Ensign Pulver" (1964), but her career took a hiatus before she made a comeback as a character actress in the mid-1970s.

Millie Perkins was married to actor Dean Stockwell from 1960 to 1962 and later to writer and director Robert Thom from 1964 until his death in 1979. She has two children, Lillie Thom and Hedy Thom. She retired from screen acting in 2006 and has since lived a quieter life, occasionally teaching drama classes and addressing high school drama groups in Jacksonville, Oregon.
