Monique Van Vooren was a Belgian-American actress, singer, and dancer born on March 25, 1927, in Brussels, Belgium. She was the daughter of George Bronz (or Bronze) and Louise van Vooren, and she adopted her mother's maiden name as her professional name.

Monique Van Vooren was a champion skater and a beauty queen in Belgium before moving to the United States. She studied philosophy at New York University on a Fulbright scholarship and learned to speak multiple languages, including English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, and Dutch. She also claimed to be able to read Greek and Latin.

Her career spanned over six decades, starting in the 1950s. She appeared in numerous films, including "Tarzan and the She-Devil" (1953), "Andy Warhol's Frankenstein" (1973), and "Wall Street" (1987). On television, she was known for her role as Miss Clean on the series "Batman" (1968) and appeared in other shows like "What Makes Sammy Run?" (1959) and "The United States Steel Hour" (1959).

She also had a successful career on Broadway, starring in productions like "John Murray Anderson's Almanac" (1953-54) and "Man on the Moon" (1975).
