Rebecca Ferguson

Rebecca Louisa Ferguson Sundström, born on October 19, 1983, in Stockholm, Sweden, is a renowned Swedish actress. She grew up in the Vasastan district of central Stockholm. Her mother, Rosemary Ferguson, is English and moved to Sweden at the age of 25, while her father, Olov Sundström, is a Swedish businessman.

She attended an English-medium school in Sweden and was raised bilingual, speaking both Swedish and English. She graduated from Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm in 1999. From a young age, she worked as a model and appeared in magazines and television commercials for various brands. She also danced ballet, tap-dancing, jazz, street funk, and tango, even teaching Argentine tango at a dance company in Lund, Sweden, for a few years.

Her acting career began with the Swedish soap opera Nya tider, where she played the role of Anna Gripenhielm from 1999 to 2000. She later starred in the slasher film Drowning Ghost in 2004. Her breakthrough came with her portrayal of Elizabeth Woodville in the British drama The White Queen in 2013, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film.

Rebecca Ferguson gained international recognition for her role as MI6 agent Ilsa Faust in the Mission: Impossible films, starring alongside Tom Cruise in Rogue Nation, Fallout, and Dead Reckoning Part One. She also played Jenny Lind in the musical film The Greatest Showman, starred in the horror films Life and Doctor Sleep, and had supporting roles in Florence Foster Jenkins, The Girl on the Train, and the science fiction films Dune and Dune: Part Two. In 2023, she began starring in the Apple TV+ science fiction series Silo.

Her personal life has been relatively private. She was in a long-term relationship with Ludwig Hallberg, with whom she has a son named Isac, born in 2007. In 2018, she married businessman Rory St. Clair Gainer, and they have a daughter named Saga, born in May 2018.
