Rebecca Holden is an American actress, model, and singer who was born on June 12, 1958, in Dallas, Texas. She began her career as a model while studying voice and piano in New York City, where she became known as one of the "Breck Girls" for Breck Shampoo.

Her modeling career led to appearances on magazine covers and national commercials for brands like Ivory Soap, Dentyne, Kellogg's, Chevrolet, Gillette, Playtex, Arrid, and 7 Up.

Her television career took off with guest appearances on popular shows such as The Love Boat, Magnum, P.I., Matt Houston, Three's Company, Taxi, Night Court, Mike Hammer, Remington Steele, Barney Miller, Quincy, M.E., T.J. Hooker, and Police Squad!

She gained widespread recognition for her role as April Curtis, the computer whiz, on the TV series Knight Rider during its second season from 1983 to 1984. She also played the diabolical Elena on ABC's soap opera General Hospital.

Rebecca Holden has had a successful music career. She formed a country music group while still modeling and toured with it for two years. She charted two singles for TRA-Star Records in 1989: "The Truth Doesn't Always Rhyme" and "License to Steal."

She recorded the album The Highway Runs Both Ways for Curb Records and a self-titled album for BMG Europe. She was recognized as both New Independent Artist and New Independent Female at the first Cash Box magazine Nashville Music Awards in 1989.

Her personal life includes two marriages. She was married to her childhood sweetheart, Bobby Vassallo, from 1980 until their divorce in 1986. On New Year's Eve 2014, she married record producer Joel Diamond.

Rebecca Holden has been active in charitable work, serving on the board of Operation California (now Operation USA) and traveling for charity work in Ethiopia during the famine. She later helped form Operation Texas, providing help to earthquake victims in Mexico City.

Her extensive charitable work includes Toys for Tots, Feed the Children, Special Olympics, Music in the Schools program, and Habitat for Humanity.
